Scientists isolated this fragment because it carries the part of hGH involved in fat metabolism, but not the parts that promote growth or affect blood sugar. It works through a completely different pathway than GLP-1 compounds. Those work through incretin receptors. AOD-9604 comes from the growth hormone family — different origin, different mechanism, different signaling.
